Tour Overview<\/span><\/p>\n

The safari covers major parks such as Samburu National Reserve, one of Kenya\u2019s best-loved wildlife sanctuaries. Samburu has a wealth of wildlife in a relatively small area \u2013 elephants are legion and there are plenty of lions, leopards and cheetahs picking on the grazing antelope, zebra and other species drawn here for water and grazing.<\/p>\n

ITINERARY:<\/span><\/p>\n

Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai\u00a0<\/strong>Mara<\/b><\/p>\n

At 8 o’clock you will be picked up from your Nairobi Hotel and commence the drive to Maasai Mara. You will pass via the great rift valley view point where you will have a stop over of 10 -15 minutes to view the rift valley. Lunch will be at the camp in Maasai Mara. In the afternoon after you check in depart for a sunset evening game viewing drive in the Mara Reserve (4.00 to 6.00 p.m). Return back to the camp for buffet dinner ending with good time for resting at Rhino Tourist Camp or similar. (The tents have toilet, shower, bed, linen and mosquito nets. Electricity is provided from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm in the evening. Also from 6:00 am to 8:00 am in the morning).
\nMasai Mara Reserve is the most popular tourism destination in Kenya. Located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. Wildlife is most concentrated on the reserve\u2019s western escarpment. Its regarded as the jewel of Kenya\u2019s wildlife Viewing areas.<\/p>\n

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Masai Mara Reserve<\/strong>
\nAt around 7:00 am after breakfast, you will leave for a full day exploring Masai Mara in search of the Big Five and The annual wildebeest\u2019s migration which alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in October . The phenomenal wildebeest migration which is a spectacular event only seen in Maasai mara is the seventh wonder of the world. At midday, You will have picnic lunch in the park which is provided by us. You will visit the site of the yearly wildebeest migration and see the resident crocodiles and hippos sited at the banks of Mara river, then continue with the game drive of the Mara reserve.

Day 3: Depart Maasai Mara to Nakuru<\/strong><\/p>\n

Early breakfast then depart for\u00a0 to Lake Nakuru with an optional brief stop at Maasai Village for cultural encounter- Learn about the Masai community and interact with the local Masai people as you en- route out of Maasai Mara.<\/p>\n

Thereafter commence the drive to Nakuru. You will arrive early at the Hotel where you can take some time to relax at the pool, wifi or a stroll in the compound.<\/p>\n

Dinner and Overnight at Buraha Zeroni Hotel \/ Similar<\/span><\/p>\n

Day 4: Nakuru to Lake Naivasha\/Hell\u2019s Gate<\/strong><\/p>\n

You will have an early breakfast and depart by 7am to straight to the park. Its a small park with magnificent, rare white rhinos which form part of the Big five animals. There is also a possibility to see the pink flamingos . The game drive lasts 3 hours, after which you depart on a 1-hour drive back to Naivasha to arrive in time for lunch.<\/p>\n

After lunch, you will go to hell’s gate for biking safari. if you are too tired you will be driven in the park with a car.<\/p>\n

You will later go for an hour boat ride on Lake Naivasha for bird watching and hippo viewing.<\/p>\n

Dinner and Overnight at Astorian Grand Hotel<\/span><\/p>\n

Day 5: Naivasha to Samburu National Reserve<\/strong><\/p>\n

Breakfast at the lodge and at 7 am, depart to Samburu National Reserve located in the Northern Kenya. Have lunch on the way to arrive Samburu in time for an evening game viewing.<\/p>\n

Samburu is famous for its truly wild semi-arid landscape, and the large concentration of wild animals and bird-life. Together with the adjoining Shaba and Buffalo Springs national reserves,\u00a0 Samburu is popular for hosting the rare Northern-Kenya animal species (Gerenuk, Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa Oryx and Somali Ostrich) which are not found in the other popular parks and reserves in Kenya. It is also home to all the African big cats (lion, cheetah and leopard), alongside other big game including elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, hippos, impala, water-buck and many others. Samburu is also a renowned bird watching haven, with hundreds of bird species resident here. These include kingfisher, bee-eaters, tawny eagle, guinea-fowll, yellow throated spur-fowl, lilac-breasted roller,\u00a0 red-billed horn bill, secretary bird, Verreaux’s eagle, superb starling, yellow-billed hornbill and vultures.The unique culture of The Samburu tribe who live in the region is the icing to cake for the amazing Samburu National Reserve.<\/p>\n

Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge<\/span><\/p>\n

Day 6: Full Day in Samburu National Reserve<\/strong><\/p>\n

Early morning game drive in the reserve. Later, return to the camp for breakfast. Rest of the mid-morning at relaxation. After lunch, proceed for an afternoon game drive in the reserve.<\/p>\n

Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge<\/span><\/p>\n

Day 7: Samburu to Nairobi<\/strong><\/p>\n

Early breakfast then checkout followed by morning game viewing in the reserve, thereafter drive back to Nairobi.\u00a0 We will provide a complimentary\u00a0 snack lunch on the way.<\/strong><\/p>\n
