This route is the least\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><em>visited, thus offers a quiet environment and is the only route that approaches\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><em>Kilimanjaro from the north. It offers a gentle gradient and has some unspoiled\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><em>flora and fauna.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 1:\u00a0<u>KILIMANJARO\u00a0 INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT\u00a0 \u00a0TO\u00a0 MOSHI<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. On arrival and after the immigration and customs procedures, you will be met and welcomed by our Professional Mountain Guide\/ Guides\u00a0 who will assist you with your luggage to the waiting vehicles. There after you will be driven to Arusha ( approximately 50 minutes drive) and check in at Outpost\u00a0 Lodge\/ Spring Land Hotel in Moshi for overnight. ( Meal Plan: Bed and Breakfast Only)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 2 :\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<u>MOSHI \u2013 NARE MORU VILLAGE \u2013 SIMBA CAMP\u00a0 ( 8900ft<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After breakfast, we drive to Nare Moru Village ( 6,500ft) where the trek starts. From there we walk through the cultivated land and Pine Forest on the way to Simba Campsite (8900ft) where we will camp. ( Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch &amp; Dinner)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 3:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<u>SIMBA\u00a0 CAMP(8900ft) \u2013 KIKELWA CAMP (11800ft)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Today we will continue with our trek via second cave to Kikelwa Camp. This trek offers impressive views of Kibo and the eastern Ice fields on the rim of the crater. We will carry on to Kikelwa Camp ( 11,800ft) where we will camp. (Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch &amp; Dinner)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day4:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<u>KIKELWA CAMP(11800ft) \u2013 MAWENZI TARN\u00a0 (14,150ft)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After breakfast, we leave for Mawenzi Tarn ( 14,150ft). We spend the<\/p>\n<p>afternoon exploring the surrounding area which will help us to acclimatize and<\/p>\n<p>camp for the night. (Meal Plan: Breakfast, lunch &amp; Dinner.)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 5:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<u>MAWENZI TARN\u00a0 ( 14,150ft) \u2013 KIBO HUT (15,000ft)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After breakfast, we cross the lunar desert of the \u2018\u2018Saddle\u2019\u2019between Mawenzi and Kibo to reach the campsite (15,000ft) at the bottom of the Kibo Crater wall. The remainder of the day is spent resting in preparation for the final ascent. (Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch &amp; Dinner)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 6:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<u>SUMMIT ATTEMPT, KIBO HUT\u00a0 (15,000ft) \u2013 UHURU PEAK (5895m)- HOROMBO<\/u><\/strong><u>\u00a0<strong>HUT (12,000ft)<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<p>You will rise around 23.30hrs, and after some tea and biscuits you will shuffle off into the night. You will head in a northwesterly direction and ascend through heavy scree towards Stella Point on the crater rim. This 6-hour walk to Stella point is for many climbers, mentally and physically the most challenging on the route. At Stella Point magnificent sunsrise you are ever likely to see ( weather permitting). From Stella Point you will normally encounter snow all the way on your 2-hour ascent to Uhuru Peak. The time you will spend on the summit will depend on the weather conditions. Do not stop here too long, as it will be extremely difficult to start again\u00a0 due to cold and fatigue. Enjoy your accomplishment and a day to remember for the rest of your life. The walk back to Kibo Hut from the summit takes about 3 hours. Here you will have a well earned but short rest with tea, soup and some snacks and thereafter we collect the rest of your gear, before heading down to Horombo Hut ( 12,000ft) where we will camp there throughout the night. (Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch\u00a0 and Dinner)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 7:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<u>HOROMBO HUT(12,000ft) \u2013 MARANGU GATE (1980m)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After an early and well-deserved breakfast, we descend further to Marangu Gate where our vehicle will be waiting to take us to Arusha with an overnight at Outpost Lodge.
